Verifying a report

Check a report's SHA-256 fingerprint on the public verify page — no account needed.

Every stored Sanctix report carries a SHA-256 fingerprint. Anyone holding a report — a bank, an auditor, a counterparty — can check whether the document has changed since Sanctix produced it, with no account.

  1. Open the verify page.
  2. Enter the report reference (for example STX-087981) and the 64-character SHA-256 fingerprint printed on the report.
  3. Reports link directly to their check: /verify/{ref}?sha256=… runs the same comparison on open.

A match means the hash equals the fingerprint Sanctix stored when the report was created — the report has not changed since. The check shows only the reference, the subject, the verdict, and the date, never the report itself. It is a fingerprint comparison, not a digital signature or a trusted timestamp, and the screening result is decision support, not legal advice.
